Athletics Ontario offers high quality; nationally recognized coach certification to people with experience in Athletics and people with little to no experience in Athletics.

Hosting a NCCP Coaching Course:

  1. Clubs looking to host or coordinate a course or a Professional Development workshop, contact office@athleticsontario.ca to arrange a date, time etc.
  2. Institutions/ Schools (elementary or secondary) looking to host or coordinate a course to comply with the Ontario Physical Education Safety Guidelines by September 2016 to have one coach (teacher or volunteer) certified with the minimum qualification in high risk sports (i.e. track and field – discus, high jump, javelin, pole vault, shot put, steeplechase

Certification and Evaluation: 

A certified coach enjoys the credibility of track and field community because they have been observed and evaluated “doing” what is required of them as a competent coach in their sport. Certified coaches are recognized as meeting or exceeding the high standards embraced by our national sport organizations in Canada.
