 Athletics Ontario Administration/ Governance Requirements:

  1. Meet Sport Canada’s Definition of a sport
  2. Endorsed by NSO Ifunded by Sport Canada) as the PSO for the sport in Ontario
  3. Registered as a non-profit-organization
  4. Board of Directors elected by members
  5. Policies and Procedures in place outlining the organization’s democratic governing structure and operational procedures
  6. Board approved Strategic Plan for a minimum of 3-years with operational plans for each year
  7. Annual Budget and Audit Report
  8. Insurance that meets current industry standards for the sport and requirements outlined in Ministry Transfer Payment Agreement
  9. Annual General Meeting held and minutes/ summary posted from meeting
