Date: Sunday November 26, 2017
Time: 1pm – 4pm
Location: Variety Village, 3701 Danforth Avenue, Scarborough, ON M1N 2G2
To register: Those interested in attending this clinic, please contact Jacquie Downing at: email@example.com by Friday, November 17, so that arrangements can be finalized.
A National Clinic for Throws is planned for Sunday, November 26 at Variety Village following the Officials AGM. The clinic will run about 3 hours, with Enrico Toscano as the clinician.
A national clinic is one of the requirements for officials to move from level 3 to level 4. The clinic credit is valid for 5 years and at least 8 credits must be earned after completing such a clinic. A take-home assignment will be distributed to candidates who are already level 3 throws officials following the clinic.
Other officials interested in Throws are also welcome to attend. Officials who are not yet level 3 would certainly benefit from participating in this clinic. Note that it would not count as your national clinic until a refresher clinic and the assignment are completed after achieving level 3.
A clinic for Starters and those interested in knowing more about the role of the starter is planned for Sunday, November 26 at Variety Village following the AGM. The clinic will run about 3 hours, with Lisa Ferdinand as the clinician.
This clinic will fulfill the national clinic requirement for officials who wish to move from Starter 3 to Starter 4. The clinic credit is valid for 5 years and at least 8 credits must be earned after completing such a clinic. A take-home assignment will be distributed to candidates who are already level 3 starters following the clinic.
Officials who are not yet level 3 starters but who are interested in the role would certainly benefit from participating in such a clinic and are welcome to attend. Note that the clinic would not ‘count’ as your national clinic, however, until a refresher clinic and the assignment are completed after achieving level 3. Starters already levels 4 or 5 are welcome to participate as well.
