Niagara is set to host the Jeux de Canada Summer Games between August 6-21, 2022. Athletics Ontario is inviting Coaches and Managers to apply for a volunteer position on Team Ontario for the Canada Summer Games.
The competition will be held at the Canada Games Park at Brock University in St. Catharines, ON. Athletes will compete in an interprovincial competition against Canada’s top U24 athletes. The Games provide athletes with development and competitive opportunities that will prepare them for national and international sports competitions.
Applications for volunteer coaching positions within Athletics Ontario teams will be called from current active Athletics Ontario Coaches who are accredited in the National Coaching Association and Athletics Ontario. An active coach is defined as the coach responsible for preparing and supervising the training and competition programs for Athletics Ontario athletes.
The Head Coach named on the official registration form must have Athletics Canada NCCP Performance Coach Certified Status in at least one Track or Field discipline.
Assistant coaches named on the official registration form must have Athletics Canada NCCP Club Coach Certified Status in at least one Track or Field discipline, as well as completion of Athletics Canada’s Canada Games PD module (to be finalized and communicated by Athletics Canada).
