Athletics Ontario is pleased to announce the launch of the second wave of the Adopt-an-Athlete program in partnership with Pursu.it. Pursu.it is a volunteer-run, nonprofit crowdfunding website for amateur athletes. As the first and only crowdfunding platform devoted to helping amateur athletes craft their story and focus on success, Pursu.it has raised over $310,000 to date and has helped eight athletes from various sports make it to the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
This second wave will run until 12:00 pm EST on February 15, 2015.
Athletics Ontario athletes in the first wave of the 2015-15 campaign include:

- George Quarcoo, Toronto, I BE Fast TC, 100m/200m Para-Athletics
- Taylor Stewart, London, London-Western TFC, Decathlon
- Ken Trudgeon, London, London-Western TFC, Shot Put, Javelin, Discus Para-Athletics
- Kate Van Buskirk, Brampton/Toronto, Athletics Toronto, 800m/1500m/5000m, Distances
