Canada Brings Home 17 Medals at U20 Panamerican Games

The U20 Panamerican Games took place in Costa Rica last weekend, where 47 athletes traveled to represent Team Canada.

After just breaking the Canadian record at OFSAA, Team Ontario athlete Myles Misener-Daley was after it once again! Running an incredible time of 45.62 seconds in the men’s 400m final, he not only set another new record, but he won the silver medal!

Out in the field, another Team Ontario athlete, Trinity Tutti, threw an incredible 15.95m to win the gold in the women’s shot put event. She also earned a silver medal in the women’s discus with a best throw of 54.87m.

We are so proud of all of the athletes who competed at this event. Ontario athletes brought home 13 of the 17 medals won by Canada (G – 4, S – 7, B – 2).
