THE HOW TO DECLARATION GUIDE:

Eligibility (Pre Checklist)
☐ Able Bodied Athlete U23 (1995 or younger) // Para Athlete U31 (1987)
☐ Registered AO member at the time of performance and in good standing (AC Number lookup)
☐ Participate in the Canada Summer Games Trials (June 23-25)
☐ Have never been a SR1 or SR2 carded athlete
☐ Have never competed as an athlete on a Senior National Team (Olympics/Paralympics, IPC/IAAF World Championships Commonwealth Game)

Florida Training Camp – Canada Summer Games

AO is pleased to be putting together a team that will travel to Clermont, Florida as part of the AO Summer Games training camp. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of our Canada Summer Games elite coaches in an ideal training environment.

2017 Canada Summer Games Standard

****Note: All technical specification are recommended to be in the senior heights and distances. This camp is a CSG team identifier and senior specifications are used. Please ensure your declaration seeds dictate this****

Location: Clermont, Florida
Dates of Competition: Dec 27, 2016- Jan 5, 2017
Maximum Team Ontario Size: ~ 45 athletes
Coaches: CSG coaches (8) CSG manager (1) and Chiropractor (1)
- Coaches attending will be the Canada Summer Games coaching staff

Athletes will travel by bus departing from Toronto (with other pickup locations TBD) and travel directly to Clermont, Florida. Training will take place at the National Training Centre in Clermont. Athletes will be staying in private houses in Clermont. Approximately 45 athletes will be selected for this team. There will be six coaches, one manager and one chiropractor as part of the staff.

Selection will be based on Canada Summer Games performance standards and event discipline, similar to a Games situation where all events are included. We encourage all interested athletes to apply. Athletes who have met standards will have priority selection.

Upon selection of the team, the athlete must pay a deposit of $200 as a commitment to the program. Travel, accommodation and some meals will be covered by Athletics Ontario. There will be a variety of opportunities to visit some of the local attractions (those costs will be incurred by the athletes). Athletes will also be expected to follow the AO Athlete Code of Conduct.

University athletes are encouraged to apply as special travel subsidies may be available.
