The 2022 Cross Country season concluded this past Saturday, November 26, at the Canadian Cross Country Championships in Mooney’s Bay, Ottawa, ON. The weekend capped a successful season for cross-country athletes in Ontario.
Ontario athletes led the way at ACXC, winning individual gold medals in the following races:
- Open Women’s 10k (Julie-Anne Staehli),
- Open Men’s 10k (Connor Black),
- U20 Men (Roman Mironov),
- U18 Girls (Gabby Jones)
- U18 Boys (Erik Unger)
In the Club Championships, Ontario clubs won gold in the following divisions:
- U18 Girls Division (Ottawa Lions)
- U18 Boys (University of Toronto Track Club)
- U20 Men (London-Western TFC)
- Open Men (London-Western TFC)
In the Branch Championships, Team Ontario athletes represented well with the following Team placings:
- U18 Girls – Silver
- U18 Boys – Gold
- U20 Women – Silver
- U20 Men – Gold
- Open Women – Gold
- Open Men – Gold
