As of today, the Government of Canada has legalized and will regulate the use of cannabis.
Athletics Canada has already issued a statement reminding Canadian athletes that they are still subject to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP), and under this, the use of cannabis is still banned.
The substance will continue to be prohibited and should you use the drug, a positive test can result in a sanction, even on or after today’s date. Cannabis will continue to be listed as a Prohibited Substance in Competition on the World Anti-Doping agency.
