Tillsonburg Running with the Bulls

After our son was diagnosed with a rare cancer last year, just beforeChristmas, our family experienced an abundance of love and support from our community. Although our son is still in treatment and his future is unknown, I feel a great need to give back to my community. I began running 8 years ago and I LOVE to run. It has helped me cope mentally during this difficult diagnosis. I want to host this event and ALL profits from the event will go back to families experiencing financial distress as a result of a cancer diagnosis. There is an application on my website where families can apply for funds to help out (it might be as small as paying for a child’s sport so the family can maintain some type of normalcy during this most overwhelming experience). I have been able to obtain sponsors to pay for the shirts, the medals, the chip timing, the insurance, the prizes and the rental of many items. This means more money for me to be able to provide to needy families after my event. I am eager to host a successful event and give back to my community.
