Sanctioned Road & Trail Races
All 2023 sanctioned road and trail races are added to Athletics Ontario’s event calendar. Race sanctioning process provides a simple, effective method to ensure the safety and protection of runners, race promoters, and municipalities. The sanctioning process sets up a number of safety-related criteria each race must meet.

2023 Trillium Running Series
We thank all participants and races that participated in the 2023 The Trillium Running Series, to date.
Athletics Ontario will be discontinuing the 2023 series, as we will be reallocating our limited resources and efforts into new and existing programs we feel will better serve our members. We will certainly celebrate participation in the series at the 2023 Trillium Running Festival on October 22, 2023, and will be offering a discount to the festival for all Trillium Running Series participants and AO members at the Trillium Running Festival!
