Important Information

Please read the following information below so you can fully understand what to expect when the Championships get underway.

The Competition

The final schedule is now available.

Please review the schedule as some start times have been altered to accommodate some larger groups.

Live Results throughout the weekend can be found here

Athletics Ontario will be live streaming the competition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday via the Athletics Ontario YouTube channel.

**We ask that viewers be patient and mindful of the fact that live streaming is a brand new pilot endeavour for AO that is being offered as a way to best accommodate all members and audiences during these times. The streaming schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather or unforeseen event schedule changes.

Reminder to Athletes:

  • For track athletes, the traditional AO event declaration will not occur at this years championship. Athletes only need to show up to the start line of their event before the start of their event to find out what their lane assignment is and receive hip numbers for long distance events.
  • Those on the wait list and have exceeded the standard will receive an email from Trackie to complete the registration payment and will then be moved to the confirmed list.

Reminder for coaches:

  • Coaches will be able to pick up their accreditation at the front entrance and must also complete the TTFC screening when arriving. If you are a coach and have not already registered for a coaches pass, please do that here: http://www.trackiereg.com/2021-ao-coaches-pass
  • Coaches that attended the U20 Championships are asked to bring their pass back for the Open & Para Championship.
  • All coaches are asked to send scratches to randolphfajardo@athleticsontario.ca. Refunds will be issued for all scratches received before the late entry deadline of Thursday July 29 at 10am.
  • Reminder for clubs with relay teams, to ensure they email Randolph Fajardo at randolphfajardo@athleticsontario.ca if they have members that are only attending the championships for a relay. This will ensure they receive a bib number.

Spectators:

Spectators will be allowed in designated areas of the facility for all days of competition at the upcoming Championships. There will be no spectator fee for entry. Additionally, we do ask, as it is facility mandated, that all spectators and championship personnel must wear a mask at all times.

Upon arrival, all spectators (and athletes) must enter through the main entrance of the indoor facility. Spectators will have to complete the Toronto Track and Field screening when they arrive.

Spectators will receive a wristband for re-entry throughout the day. Screening must be completed for each day that a spectator and athlete plans to attend.

There are two designated areas for spectators: the south side of the track by the spectator stands or on the north west grassy hill. Please review the overhead map here for more details.

Spectators are permitted to exit and re-enter the facility at their discretion, however due to the facility’s 300 person capacity limit, there may be times where spectator entry will be restricted.

Apparel Pick-up

The order deadline for apparel pick-up at the Open championships this weekend has closed. We will not be selling apparel on-site.

For those that selected the Open Championship as their designated pick-up location, your order will be ready for pick-up starting Friday, all the way through Sunday. The apparel pick-up tent will be located OUTSIDE of the competition facility.

To pick-up your order, please bring proof of your confirmation email, including your name and order number!

Although the Open Championship deadline has passed, you can still place an order for pick up at any of the other remaining AO championship meets this summer! Order deadlines are the TUESDAY during the week of any championship! Shop Now!

Awards

Due to covid-19 restrictions, we will not be conducting medal presentations. Those who place in medal positions will be asked to pick-up their medal outside of the facility (located directly beside the merchandise pick-up). An AO backdrop will be available for self-taken photos.
