Jerome Drayton was born in Germany (as Peter Buniak) and moved to Toronto in 1956. He competed for T.O.C., has been the National Marathon (42.2km) record-holder for over 40 years (first in 1968) and still at 2h10.09 (1975). Jerome set a World record on the Track (10mile – 46.37.6) in 1970 and won the Boston (1977) and Fukuoka (’69,’75’,’76). He was also 6th in the 1976 Olympic marathon (Montreal), while also placing 2nd in the 1978 CG (Edmonton) Marathon.
