Robert Kerr emigrated from Ireland to Canada when he was 5, settling in Hamilton, Ontario. “Bobby” won the Olympic 200m title in 1908 (London) and placed third in the 100m. After WWI, he helped as an official in many capacities – Manager at 1928, 1932 Olympics and member of the COA, President of H.O.C, meet director (for many years) of the 91st Highlanders Indoor meet, aided M.M.Robinson with 1930 British Empire Games, and acted as starter, referee, etc. at many meets across Canada.
