Nov. 11: Provincial Cross Country Championships

The 2018 Athletics Ontario Cross Country Championships will kick off this weekend, Sunday November 11, at 9:00 AM. We are so excited to have so many athletes registered to compete. A link to the event’s Live Results will be available on our homepage for the duration of the event. That will go live on Sunday morning.

Just a few final important reminders:

  • Due Saturday, November 10, at 3:00 PM: Team Declaration
    • If you intend to have more than one group scoring in an age group, you MUST submit the team by TOMORROW, at 3:00 PM. Please email these declarations to Randolph Fajardo.
  • CHECK THE FINAL SCHEDULE. A few minor changes were made to the afternoon start times and updates to all time slots for awards.
  • Athletes, you MUST complete a waiver. They will be available at the accreditation tent on the day of the event, and for athletes who have previously given Power of Attorney forms, don’t worry about it!
  • The Championship page now includes the performance list, as well as club rosters. PLEASE review these documents and ensure that your athlete’s information is correct.
  • Awards
    • Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the first three finishers from Ontario in each championship event. Non-Ontario athletes will receive medals if they place in the top 3 overall.
    • AO Championship medals will also be awarded to the first four finishers on each of the top three scoring teams from Ontario in each age category (U14 – Open). OMA medals will be provided to those entered in the Master division only. Post-Competitive athletes do not receive medals.
    • Additional medals will be available to all non-scoring runners on any of the top three teams. To be eligible, the runner(s) must complete the race. Additional medals may be purchased at the meet for a cost of $5.00 each. Team coaches or managers should arrange to obtain the medal(s) prior to awarding.
  • Last but not least, athletes and coaches will have access to the course on Saturday, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

It’s going to be a fantastic event, and we can’t wait to see you all there.
