Toronto – Saturday’s Oasis Zoo Run in Toronto, Ont., serves not only as the national championship for elite road racers in the 10-kilometre distance, the event also plays host to the annual Timex National Road Race Series finale. The Timex National Road Race Series consists of provincial series’ held throughout the year across the country. The Finale on Saturday will see Timex Series provincial teams from Alberta, British-Columbia, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. The 10-kilometre race begins at 8:15 a.m. at the Toronto Zoo.“Timex Group Canada is pleased to partner with the Oasis Zoo Run to stage the grand finale of the 2013 Timex Series,” said Paul Sine, VP of Marketing. “We would like to thank Athletics Canada, the Canada Running Series staff and many valued volunteers who have worked to make this day a reality.The level of competition at this event will test you, but that’s what you would expect.
