In the Midget category Ottawa was much more dominant, outscoring the University of Toronto TC 140 to 95.5. Newmarket Huskies took 3rd with 63. The Youth division had Ottawa with 167 points to Laurel Creek’s 118 and C.A.N.I.’s 80. For C.A.N.I. it was their first ever top 3 finish in any category of the AO Club Championships.
Ottawa had previously won the Senior title and only a win by the University of Toronto TC in the Junior division prevented a clean sweep by the Lions.
Final scores included points carried forward from earlier-held championships: 10,000m, JW 5000m, 10km Walk and combined events. Points were not awarded to athletes finishing in the top 8 of their event but failing to achieve level 1 of the AO Step Up Programme.
