Session Three of AO After School Athletics is HERE!

Session three is here! We are excited to announce the details for session three of AO After School Athletics. Our instructors are back for more great classes, on more great days!

  • Session three begins the week of November 16, and will run for a three week duration.
  • Classes are FREE for AO U8, U10, U12 members.
  • All participants have unlimited access to all classes.
  • Non-members can become a U8, U10 or U12 recreational non-competitive member for only $5 and gain unlimited access to all available classes!
  • Each session will be 30 minutes long and conducted over Zoom by a Run Jump Throw Wheel certified instructor.

The weekly schedule for session three is as follows:

Wednesday @ 4:00PM – Junior Olympics – Strength
Thursday @ 4:00PM – Dancing Through The FUNdamentals
Friday @ 4:30PM – Junior Olympics
Saturday @ 9:00AM – Matt’s Fun Saturday

That’s right! For session three, you have even more opportunities to get active while learning the FUNdamental movements of track and field. Both Junior Olympics and Dancing Through The FUNdamentals have added an additional day of class throughout the week. You can now participate in these classes twice a week, or choose the day that works best for you!

Matt’s Fun Monday has moved to SATURDAY! Now, get your weekend started with some FUN by participating in this high-energy virtual workout!

Not a member but want to participate? Become a U8, U10 or U12 recreational non-competitive member for only $5 and gain unlimited access to all available classes! Membership is valid for the rest of the 2020 year. Register: Ensure you select your membership type as “Non-Comp. Athlete”, then select “Rec. Athletes (U12). If you do not belong to a club, ensure you leave the club affiliation as “Unattached”. After completing this step, you can sign up for as many classes as you would like. Junior Olympics

Wednesday’s at 4:00pm AND/OR Friday’s @ 4:30pm

Experience and try all of the different events that track and field has to offer. Using household items, you will learn the fundamentals and proper technique of each discipline in a safe and fun environment! Use this class to find your favourite athletics event!



Dancing Through The FUNdamentals

Thursday’s at 4:00pm AND/OR Friday’s @ 4:00pm

Where the two worlds of dance and track and field elements come together! Enjoy this class by letting loose and enjoy the rhythms of different genres while incorporating the FUNdamentals of track and field. Bring your energy, smiles and be ready to sweat!



Matt’s Fun Saturday

That’s right, Matt’s Fun Monday has MOVED TO SATURDAY! Now, get your weekend started with some FUN! Join Matt every Saturday morning at 9:00am to practice FUNdamental movement skills through a high-energy virtual workout. Sessions will be 30 minutes over Zoom. Matt’s Fun Saturday will get kids excited about movement!
Each session will feature:
– Randomizer to select workouts (Wheel, Plinko, Jeopardy)
– Unique exercises that put the FUN in FUNdamental movement skills
– Positive and engaging instruction
– Focus on safety
